Sabbatical
Many top companies recognize the importance of rewarding employees for years of loyal service. After six plus years of teaching yoga full time I am rewarding myself with a much needed sabbatical.
I will be returning to India in January. I will be gone for approximately 60 days, in retreat for 40 days (20 of those in silence).
My main destination will be a series of vipasana meditation retreats that I know from previous trips to India. I attribute much of who I am to my meditation experiences in Bodh Gaya and Sarnath. The retreats are hosted by an Englishman named Christopher Titmus who started leading meditation retreats in India 30 years ago (after being a monk in Thailand).
The retreat path will start in Bodh Gaya (where the Buddha became enlightened) with two consecutive 10-day retreats (in silence). From there, we will move on to Sarnath (where the Buddha gave his first teachings) for 10 days or meditation, discussion and a chance to bond with those we have only known in noble silence. If you are curious about the retreats, you can learn more at:

My journey will end with a 10-day yoga retreat in Goa with Heather Elton. I do not know the teacher, but her credentials are impressive and she is in the right place at the right time. Who knows? If the location is right, maybe I will host a retreat there in the future. Wanna go to India?
