Who is Keith?

After quitting my career and buying a one-way ticket to India, I stumbled into a meditation retreat center while traveling in India 18 years ago. My resistance was both predictable and futile. I have been meditating and practicing mindfulness since. I have been blessed with many amazing teachers (some well known; many not) and have spent more than 400 days on retreat (approximately 40% of those days in silence).

Not just an earthy/crunchy “spiritual” guy, I had a successful 14-year career in Corporate Finance / Mergers & Acquisitions after earning an MBA from The Stern School of Business at NYU. Having experienced both boardrooms and monasteries, I am uniquely prepared to introduce Mindfulness to today’s bearers of stress and dissatisfaction.

Despite having led meditation as part of my yoga teaching since 2002, it was only after completing the year-long Mindfulness Institute Teacher Training that I felt qualified to consider myself a Mindfulness Instructor. I have too much respect for my many teachers to take that title lightly.

I am NOT enlightened, nor do I have all the answers. I have, however, experienced what I call glimpses of awareness which continue to inspire me to this day.

Character is the sum total of all our everyday choices.
